Sun Coast SUP answers one question: can I paddle today, here? Most weather apps give you a city forecast and leave the rest to you. This tool scores each launch from Crystal River to Siesta Key on the things that actually decide a paddle: wind, gusts, tide, and the local quirks of that specific spot.

It is free. No ads, no account, no tracking. Conditions come from public data (Open-Meteo for wind, NOAA for tides and currents, the National Weather Service for alerts) and refresh through the day. The scores are estimates and the honest downsides are on every spot, so you can make your own call before you load the car.

The launch guides cover access, parking, cost, water clarity, wildlife, fishing, and how to share the water with the manatees, dolphins, and nesting birds that live here. They are written from the water, not from a brochure.

I'm Joe. I live in Clearwater and picked up paddleboarding not long ago.

When I get into something new I go all the way in, so I ended up researching every launch on this stretch of coast: which ones are worth the drive, when the tide turns the water clear, where the wind wrecks a morning, which spots close for manatee season.

That left me with a pile of notes it felt like a waste to keep to myself. So this is that research, turned into something you can actually use. If it saves you one bad drive or one rough paddle, it did its job.
